DMC 4 loading problem

Hi I couldn't find anything in search so here I am

firstly I use ZeroDefex +R DL discs
and I use a NEC 3520A
and I use CloneCD

I have made a couple of backups which have all worked fine

but DMC 4 seems to be a problem, twice it has made coasters. the first time it did work, loaded it into 360, warning shows, then capcom logo, then dolby... but then screen goes blank 360 goes quiet but seems to be trying to read the data as the drive is clicking and the side menu has a delay when the X360 button is pressed on pad.
this has happened for 2 successful burns (both of which r from different rips)

I read things could be wrong with display settings etc.. tried that, nothing still.
I'm not sure if an update appeared when the game was first placed.

any help would be great, or any info on where I could download the software update from
