Need Advice: Should I get a Falcon (hackable) or a Jasper (non-hackable) ?

Hello Everyone! Hope everyone's doing good! OK, so I have this issue thats been on my mind for a few days now, and I would really like to get your advice ...
For the past few months, I have been planning to buy an Xbox 360 ... In specific, I have had my eye set on the Jasper Xbox 360, which I had been planning to buy when it comes out...
But now I'm hearing that Jasper comes with the new Liteon DVD Drives, which are un-hackable as of now ..
I on the other hand, want a hackable Xbox 360... I wont have really minded to wait for a few months for these Liteons to get hacked, but from what I hear, the new Liteons are complete unhackable .. That there is a significant possibility that there might never be a hack for these Liteon drives ! :o
The problem with the Falcon's is that although the CPU is 65nm, the GPU (the main component which causes RROD) is still 90nm ... Although the rate of RROD occurring is a lot lesser for the Falcon series than its predecessors, its still there nonetheless ... Jasper would mostly probably have completely sealed off any possibility of any RRODs, with its 65nm CPU and GPU !
Keeping the above trade off in mind, what would you recommend ...
1) That I wait it out, and get a Jasper when a hack for its Liteon drives comes along (even if it does come along at all!!) ..
2) Just buy a Falcon, and pray that nothing happens to it .. :P
Please help me out people, and thanx for your advice ... :)

Fun/entertainment wise it would make sense to me to buy a used 360 and hack it.
Then later on when the Lite-on drive is hackable buy one, hack it and then sell your old one or give it as a gift to a relative.
If you don't have money like that then you should wait until it's hackable.

If you plan to get addicted to Xbox Live like so many other people then a hacked console may not be the way to go. Because you will worry every day about when yours may get banned.
Sure you can save a lot on games but there is also set up costs involved in that (the $50 for the Samsung DVD-Rom with Kreon firmware), and a lot you have to learn to make back ups.
On the other hand you can have a stock console, buy your games and not worry as much, but games are very expensive so your library will be a lot smaller.

ahmadka, I would take what Steimy said with a grain of salt as he is bitter he got banned from Xbox Live and so he had to buy another console (non-Falcon) to play online. His assertion that will you "worry every day about when you will get banned" is complete BS, me and most people here have had ours modded a long time and don't worry one bit. If I get banned, then I will still have a cool console to play backups. Definitely get the non-Liteon now, it's not a hard decision.

agreed. if your going to use live then i wouldnt hack anyway because there is a chance you can get banned.

Before you go around making posts with my name in them you better have your facts strait. I am not bitter at all, i have the best of both worlds, a modded console and a stock Elite.
And if no one worries then why are there 100's of posts on this site every time there is a simple dashboard update, or high profile game release? I can tell you why. BEACAUSE PEOPLE ARE AFFRIAD OF GETTING BANNED!
And plenty of modders who have been around the scene for a long time have been banned, even though they followed every one of the latest and greatest pieces of advice.
Your advice is barely advice at all, Get the console, hack it, and if you get banned then oh well. At least you have a "cool" console to play offline?
You miss the fact that they now wasted money on XBL/Microsoft points that they can't use, and all their online gaming friends (or even a gaming clan) that they now can't play with.

LOL, truth hurts huh Steimy?? Steimy, first of all you need to use SPELL CHECK-someone with your intelligence level obviously needs it. You might try to open up a dictionary and learn how to spell instead of living to post on here. You got banned and then you bought another console (non-Falcon), and now you preach to people on here that modding is bad just because you got banned. You also act like Xbox live is lame, just because you have two games to play on it since you are too cheap to actually BUY games. You're just bitter Steimy that you got banned and also because your second console wasn't a Falcon (which you were stupid to buy, you should have waited for a Falcon). It was YOUR fault you got banned, you probably downloaded games or didn't update your firmware. "Best of both worlds"....LOL, you know that's a lie, you had to get your mommy to buy you a new 360 since you got yours banned. People like me who play backups online have it the best way. I too have a modded console & a plain unmodded console. I love live playing halo, and woul dwelcome the lvl 50 boost just message me.
My take on this, just get a modded console, bigger library, and when the NEXT update comes out, just wait a week to see how it plays out, besides, if it does get banned, u can play your games off line, and if u have to get on live, bu another one. You can easily sell it or buy one off craigs list for nothing.
Look at it this way, if you play off line alot get a mod, if your online alot get a mod but be carefull of the games u play, people will argue, but theres no real answer to bans, and my buddy like myself have NEVER been banned, WHY u ask, becuase of stealthing our games, plain n simple.

1. i love Xbox live and use it all the time. I was without Xbox Live when my console got banned for a whole 2 hours. The time it took to drive to Gamestop and buy the Elite.
2. I don't preach that modding is bad at all, i have been working with modded console while you were still in diapers. What i told him was that if you like Xbox Live, and you mod your console then you run the risk of being banned, which is fact. Unlike the complete fiction that you post.
3. I don't need mommy to buy me anything, and haven't for a long time. So you can sit there and fabricate any sort of little fantasy world you like. Just because some little wanna be comes on here posting junk doesn't make it true.
4. I have plenty of games to play online, and plenty more to play offline. And i actually have friends unlike you so i don't have to play the CPU offline. That would make it the best of both worlds. It is called "try it before you buy it", a concept that you obviously can not yet grasp.

If you had seen any posts were people stated that about me you would also see a response from me telling them i just help where i can. Steimy - I hear ya man, I got banned once too. Took all of 30 minutes to go buy an Elite (and modded that one too)
If I get banned again, so be it, I'll buy a new one and cut my losses on the banned one.
BTW, I have 2 unbanned Elites now.
As for the little flame going on in here, I don't understand why everyone says "gay" now-a-days. If you throw a touchdown pass on someone on Madden... you're "gay"

My apologies, i just could not resist. I also apologize to the thread starter for having to go through all of that for a simple answer. But i do think that he received as good an answer as anyone can give him.
If you want to play on XBL, and you want to do it with a modded console, then you take the same risk as anyone else of being banned.
