Like the subject says, I just got my PSP Lite a few days ago and I grew tired of the limitations and planning to install custom firmware on it. Even tho it's obvious that I should just read the stickies, I'm still confused and lost whenever I try to find a good tutorial to install CFW on it from scratch.
I know the simple procedures now but still I don't know which tutorial would suit me the best.
All that I know about my PSP are the following:
- The firmware is currently 4.05 (official but that's pretty obvious)
- The battery is a 3.6v, 1200 mAh and the model is PSP-S110 Li-ion (made in japan, bugger)
I've heard that the batteries made in Japan are pandora proof. So I also wonder if I could pandorize the battery without the need to hardmod or softmod it (I'm such a wuss when it comes to these kind of things). Also, if I would softmod it, I wouldn't be able to use that battery for "normal" purposes again am I right?
I only want to get M33 on it and I don't really need anything else. I just want to use homebrew software and games on it. Would anyone be kind to point me out the right tutorial/guide to do this?
I know that I would get "l2google" or "read the stickies" but the problem is that I really get confused halfway after reading a few of them. And since I am a total "n00b" to these kind of things, I feel like I might be doing following the procedures from the wrong tutorial.
right now, you're screwed. the new psp's are unflashable due to the new ta-088 motherboards. you'll have to wait until DAX releases a new universal unbricker.
Blasphyr, out of interested where are you located? Just trying to get an idea of what areas the new models are coming out in.
Please note the unflashable thing is a CPU issue not motherboard. I.e. there are plenty of TA-088 motherboards out there with the old CPU on which can still be flashed, it's just the ones with the new CPU that can't.

Don't worry, you've made the effort to read the stickies and FAQs but you've still got unanswered questions, so no flaming here.
