I have CXMB 3.0 installed. I was wondering if it is possible to install ANY CTF theme? Will the program itself convert it to 3.95GEN compatible? I am on the said FW btw

just downloaded around 100 CTF themes. Put it in PSP>Themes folder. I am on 3.95 GEN. When I select any theme, the PSP reboots and only the wallpaper is shown. The XMB or the Icons dont change. Which is the best firmware in this respect? so that I dont have to search for compatible themes and directly use them?

I would recommend switching to 3.90 m33 as it has the easiest themes to find. The one hundred theme pack you have would also work with 3.90 m33.

Yes put the 3.90 installer into your game folder. then rename the installers folder to RECOVERY. boot into the recovery menu and select run program at /psp/game/recovery/EB0OT.PBP

Download this file and put the 390.PBP in the root of the memory stick and the RECOVERY folder inside the game folder. To get to the recovery menu hold the power switch untill the psp turns off then turn it back on while holding down the right trigger.

i did exactly that... nothing happens.. I came via the afterdawn tutorial from 3.95 OFW to 3.95GEN. I disable the cxmb plugin, went to original theme. Copied the installer folder to PSP>Game and renamed to recovery, copied the 390.pbp to the root. Went to the recovery menu and selected run program. But nothing happens. Upon exiting it boots back to the XMB

make sure that the install folder is named RECOVERY it has to be in caps. And make sure that folder gets put into PSP/GAME not Game150 or any other game folders u might have. If that doesn't fix it u will have to use a pandora battery.

No it is not the RECOVERY folder just needs to get placed into your psp\game folder.
