i have been trying to make a back up the original disc i have used the methods on your threads but every time i try to play the game the speed.exe crashes and the dam windows has encountered a problem window comes up

i have got win xp
a 24maxx1040 cdrw
a toshiba dvd rom drive

after making by img on my hard drive i can load the img into alc 120% virtual drive and it plays and work perfectly but when i write the img to cd i get the speed.exe crash message

any help and advice would be gr8
