hows it going? i am getting ready to upgrade my harddrive and i have purchased games from the PS store and i would like to know how to back it up so that i can transfer it over to my new HDD i have trophies and i really dont want to lose them..help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!!

Save game progress to a thumb drive. Dont worry about the games that you bought on the PSN. after installing the new HD, you can re-download the games that you bought on the PSN up to 5 times.

You are incorrect. You can download stuff you have purchased as many times as you want. You can only download stuff you have bought to 5 different ps3s not 5 times. If you only have 1 ps3 then the sky is the limit on how many times you have downloaded your own content. Delete all of your games and HDD installs of games like GTA4 and MGS4. keep all of your save data then make a backup. Recover using your backup then go back the PS store and redownload all of your stuff from your download list.
