Any way i can get my ps3 to play .wmv files? Running linux or something? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I don't know about your PS3 but mine plays wmv videos just fine. Try going somewhere in the setting and there should be an option to enable wmv playback.

Hmm dont see any enable wmv option. Saw enable wma but it was alreadly set to enabled. And it doesnt even show the wmv files in the video section. When I click on my data disc. Shows the avi files though.

Ah you know what. They might be using the WMV HD codec and ps3 doesnt support that or something.
