Hi Everyone - I have just had my Wii chipped with the D2C Pro and am having troubles getting it to work. I took the Wii back to the shop who chipped it and they tested some copied games that work fine so that must mean I'm doing something wrong.

I'm using Img Burn to make the DVD's and have tried ISO's from Mario Kart, Resident Evil 4, and Beech Sports. I believe they are a mixture of NTSC and PAL (I have a PAL Wii) but the guy in the shop said it shouldn't matter. I have tried burning at 2 and 4 speed (which both complete) but when I put them into the Wii it just says it can't read them and to check the instruction manual.

I'm using AO LIN DVD-R's which have a purple base to them, and I have noticed all my other Wii games have a silver base - is this the problem or is it generally duff media, or am I doing something else wrong?

Any advise would be great.

PS. I'm new to the forum and did search before posting but couldn't find anything about the colours :)

i try to help you

1) if your wii is pal i would stick to pal games as other regions could brick ur wii if you dont know what you r doing

2) i would use verbatim -r dvds as these tend to work the best

3) use imgburn at 4x speed

4) do lots of reading of the forums and do ur research

hope this helps

Before your post gets closed. With regard to the difference between silver and purple, i believe that you are describing the difference between DVD-ROM (pressed) and DVD-R/RW (burned)

I suggest going to one of the DVD forums to learn about the differences.
