i have lots of animes that are in .mkv or .ogm file format. i convert them all to mpeg 4 format in order to play them on the psp but whenever the psp plays the video the subtitles for it dont show up. please i need help finding the right video converter that will show the subtitles when it converts the video
(I have not tested this, I just searched online. If you are already using Xvid4PSP and ffdshow/CCCP, skip to step 3. Also, I'm [unfairly] assuming that you are running Windows...)
2. Then download and install Xvid4PSP. You might also have to install .NET Framework 3.5 if it tells you to.
3. Start up Xvid4PSP, hit the Open button and load up your video. Once it loads up, check the system tray on your taskbar, and the red icon for 'ffdshow video decoder' should be there.
4. (simple way) Right click the 'ffdshow video decoder' icon, select 'Subtitles'. In Xvid4PSP, go to the menu: Video --> Refresh Preview. If you want to change text size and stuff, read on...
4. (more options way) Right click the 'ffdshow video decoder' icon, select 'ffdshow video decoder'. In the new window, scroll down the left menu and select 'Subtitles'. Enable the subtitles then screw around with whatever options you want.
I hope this helps, anyway. Now you have to actually encode the video using Xvid4PSP... This Xvid4PSP guide might help, although it may be outdated. Now I'm not going to answer any more questions until you ask more :P
