hello, i have been learning so much about the psp from these forums. thanks a lot. now i have a question. IF you dont want to read a long post,HERE IS A SUMMARY: I unbricked my psp with pandora, turned it on 2 times, it turned on fine and worked ok, then when i turned it on the for third time, it seemed to be bricked again and doesnt turn on anymore.
HERE IS THE LONG VERSION: i had a very badly bricked PSP. When i tried Pandora version 1.5, it failed to go past the "formatting flash0" point, it just got stuck there, so i used the NAND from a working 1.5 that i had lying around to restore the NAND in the bricked PSP. That went ok. Then I tried pandora again, and that went ok too. Then i turned on the PSP, i got this blue sceen about corrupt software, I pressed the circle, and restarted the psp and it finally turned on normally!!! Then I turned it off and turned it on again, and it turned on fine again!! everything seemed ok!! BUT here is the problem: The third time that I turned it off, I couldnt turn it on anymore, it seems like it is bricked again. Any idea how i can fix this?
Did you flash the ID Storage of the PSP not working back to it after flashing the good NAND dump to it?
When using a NAND from another PSP the following steps should be done.
Backup the NAND of the PSP your having issues with and save for future use.
Now flash the NAND dump of a working PSP to PSP having the issue.
After the above steps you need to take the old NAND dump originally on the PSP having issues and use a homebrew app to write the ID Storage only to the PSP.
It seems you did not do this last step and now you pretty much have screwed the PSP up beyond repair.
You should still be able to flash custom firmware to it and play ISO/CSO games but your UMD and WiFi will more then likely be screwed up.
This should only be done as a last resort.
SLIM PSP users should not try this becuase it will not work.

Well, actually i didnt restore the complete NAND, in the pandora there is an option that lets you restore the NAND, but leave the IDstorage alone. what is the name of the software that lets you write only IDstorage to your PSP ?
