Usually, I've never had to sign up because all the problems that I've ever had with my PSP have already been solved and I can learn from those mistakes from the topics already posted. So, kudos to the techs already on top of things. However, I've been tackling some new things, lately, with my PSP, and help is a bit hard to come by, so here I am.

I'm running a PSP1001 model PSP that I purchased through eBay [thing works beautifully, too. I was pleasantly surprised] and right now it's running Dark_Alex's custom firmware version 4.01 M33-2. I've been able to make ISO's and CSO's with little to no trouble. PSP games work beautifully on my system and I've been able to download and rip copies of my own.
I've even gone as far as to have a copy of Suikoden II made for my PSP, which has worked so far. I also have Persona. I wanted to try this on my own, though, seeing as I have PSX games of my own that I'd like to play, and I can't get my old contact to make them for me since I moved away recently. I ripped the game using the original disc [Persona 2: Eternal Punishment] using Nero, burnt as a *.bin file. I ran the PSX2PSP v1.2 program to transfer the file to an EBOOT. I fixed the initial problem of it not booting in the PSP by adding the KEYS.bin file into the game folder, but still, no dice. I get the 80020148 error telling me I can't run the game, still. I've poked around the internet, looking for answers, setting the Recovery options to different settings in hope to getting a change. I even moved the game to the different GAME folders on the memory stick.

The question I give to everyone here... well, I actually have two questions. First, what is the source of the problem? I read somewhere that the error is saying that a PRX thing is missing, but I have no idea what that means. Secondly, I would like to know what I can do to fix this issue and get the game running properly.

Also, as an addendum, I tried in both 1.50 and 4.xx kernals, so far. I've also had problems running the custom XMB plugin, as well, even though it was advertised as able to run with the 4.01 firmware.
Any and all help is very much appreciated!

Make sure the PSX EBOOT is in its own folder...

ms:0//PSP/GAME/Persona 2/EBOOT.PBP

If it still doesn't run go HERE and follow this guide. Install the popsloader plugin for 3.80 M33-4 it is compatible with 4.01 M33-2 custom firmware.

Make sure you have themes compatible with 4.01 M33 firmware when trying to load them with CXMB.

I actually took the initiative and loaded that exact version of POPStation [3.80 M33-4, right?]. I haven't tried it with all combinations just yet, but none of them seem to work as of yet.
Thanks for the update on the themes. I guess I should have thought of that one, thank you.
