Hi,

Almost 90% of movies I watch nowadays are MKV's. Pretty much everyone says using Haali Media Splitter as the renderer is a must, but in my case it simply doesn't work. Check the screenshots to see what it's all about:

MPC and Haali as renderer:

MPC and VMR9 Renderless

Using pretty much any renderer gives much better picture quality than Haali.

I have these codecs installed(all latest versions):
Core AVC
Koepi's xVid
AC3 Filter
VSFilter
and of course Haali Media Splitter

I can play pretty much everything(using MPC) but it's quite annoying not to be able to use Haali as my renderer since everyone says it's the best.

My video card is Radeon HD3870 and I "heard" ATI's cards have problems with using Haali. Is that true? If so, does anyone know any workarounds or solutions?

I took a look at the two screen shots but I don't see a problem.

The Haali splitter just decomposes the stream so that the parts can be
sent to the proper decoders. It shouldn't change the quality
as far as I know. Have you tried playing them in VLC ?

You do not see a problem? Look at the faces. It's even more visible during playback than it is in a screenshot, but it's obviously there.

I tried it in a MPC and Zoom Player, only happens when using Haali Media Splitter as the renderer.
