Hi,

Does anyone have a guide to enabling 7 day epg, using an epg filter on Nokia running V slimline image?

Cheers

Have you a link of where to download this?

Blade and other images have EPG settings in misc, I am not sure if they work very well though, i.e. turning up hours/days to try and get more. I remember some images I did have went really far ahead.

Is there any downside to having so much info stored? i.e. does it take up memory and make the box unstable or anything.

@ruprect
Its not really any use to us here in Ireland m8 as at most upc only show 3 days epg which can already be got on most images with a bit of tweaking.

Right cheers. What do you change on yours? I think there are 2 EPG settings, I will play around on mine tonight.

I know Xenafan releases them with limited times so I wondered if it caused trouble having extended times.

I like the extended ones so you can see if programs will be repeated soon.

Here's my settings m8,
Hope it helps.

EPG-Cache(Days)=3
EPG-Remove after=0
EPG-Long description=8
Max Events=9999

Then tune to the City Channel for about 5 mins and you should have approx 3 days epg.
Bear in mind you will have to tune to that channel once everyday or whenever you reboot your box etc.

Nice one, will give it a go tonight. Weird that you have to tune to city channel, will have to suffer looking at that freaky druid chef ;)

No problem m8,it seems that the City Channel is our equivelent of the PVR_EPG channel in the UK for some strange reason.
Just to make you aware my EPG Cache Days is set to 5 although this still only gives the 3 days I never changed it,dont think it will make a difference just thought I would let you know.

That worked grand for me cheers. I set mine to 5 days too, no harm, and if they ever did start transmitting more and you were set to 3 you would never know.

Tried the latest Virgin+ image tonight. Fantastic slimmed down image and many thanks to all involved. It has 7 day EPG set by default.

Now as I thought the EPG stream was only 3 days max in Ireland. I thought this wouldnt work and so far it hasnt getting the same as always 3 days.

But I think it may work,(with a bit of work), as I have checked out the latest subbed boxes and they now have a full 7 day EPG, so there may be hope yet ;)

The other day I got 3days of EPG without being on city channel. After testing I think that any of the channels in that 291 transponder will bring in the 3 days in dublin. This means Dave or setanta Ireland, rather than having to sit through crap on city channel!

you can see all the data streams included in 291, and what channels should get it for you.

<transponder id="0008" onid="a701" frequency="291000000" inversion="2" symbol_rate="6887000" fec_inner="9" modulation="3">

Hi guys,

I have a The Box-T and a Dreambox 600T, but my EPG can only show NOW&NEXT. I'm based in Cork. Any idea what channel I need to put on (equivalent to City Channel in Dublin) or what settings on the box I might need to change?
