Very easy to rip with latest dvdfab (5.0.8.0), used fixvts, and dvd shrink. No problems at all. I set shrink for 4300mb and compression (minus foreign language and foreign subtitles) was almost 58%.

Whole disc 7.04 Gb
Movie only 4773 Mb including all language tracts (only english AC-3 5.1, total movie only size is 4233 Mb, so no compression)
ripped to HDD with latest Anydvd and ripit4me. Easy

I should be getting Starship Troopers 3 tomorrow. 1 was good. 2 was decent at times and pushing it at others. 3....I will have to see.

The Bugs are back in town, not as good as the original, but passable. No problem with CloneDVD2/AnyDVD.

Nim's Island was actually a very good movie and an easy back-up - Starship Troopers 3: Well, it does have Jolene Blalock - but wow - I'm not even going to back mine up. I will get the small credit and apply to my next purchase.

Why? The price difference in DL media does'nt make any if any quilty loss. I just did nim's island a coouple hrs. ago and used nero7 to shrink it. Whole disc 4.35gb. DVD Shrink would have done, just right now I'm having an issue with mine and just decided to use nero instead. I do that from time to time anyway.
