Ok, just to give a basic idea for people, My dad has been a computer engineer for 30+ years and has tried to get me into the industry, so i understand basics. My current job is the US Army.....occasionally having to shoot people...... wide difference.
ANyways, I know very little and understand less about the Emulators gaming type programs at all. the ZSNES program was a breeze because it came already set up and perfect as is. But i am trying to Play one of my PS2 games using my computer system, i have a quad core system maxed out to the gill's in power (what else am I gonna spend the cash i make from the Army, i mean come on, i like video games too much :D )
But i cant get the program to run better than 12 fps (yes, i know its frames per second, im not that dense) Ive burned an img file from the disc itself ( its DQ8 for anyone wanting to know) tried everything i can think of to get it to run without needing the disc, because for some reason, with disc in I can run with anything else but PEOP's, which blows for fps.
Can someone basically come up with a few ideas, making sure to dumb it down for me, cause i dont understand much of actual computer terms.
