I am SO frustrated with this. All I want to do is put videos on my 4G memory stick (which is brand new, it has aot of free space) and play them on my PSP.
I just bought a 4G Memory Stick Pro Duo Memory Stick for my PSP (which has software 1.50 by the way), and a CoreMicro box to insert the stick in so I can hook it up to the computer and put content on it - in shorter terms, it's a Memory Stick reader. Using the reader I can acess my memory stick to put stuff on it.
When the Memory Stick file poped up on my computer after putting it into my card reader, I created a file called "VIDEO" (I also tried "VIDEOS") and dropped my video, which is already in correct PSP readable format, into the folder. However, when I put the memory stick into my PSP, it recognizes there's a memory stick, but says there are no videos on it!!
I have also tried formatted my memory device, but when I put it in my card reader, there was a "MUSIC", "GAME", "PHOTO", and "SAVEDATA" folder... BUT NO VIDEO FOLDER!!! ):
Lastly, I have tried making the MP_ROOT > 100ANV01 and MP_ROOT > 100MNV01 files on the place in my memory stick where the PSP folder is, as WELL AS IN the PSP folder. Then I put my video in each of the 100MNV01 and 100AMV01 files. I don't know if I am doing that correctly, all I know is it's still not working.
Please, I am so frustrated. I have tried countless things. Please make the exlanation clear, as I am only 13 and this is the first time trying to get videos on my memory stick, and even using my PSP. Oh, And, don't tell me to hook my PSP up to the computer because I lost the cable to do that. I can only put the content on the Memory stick, THEN put it in my PSP. Seriously guys... I'm sooo frustraded, I'm about to cry... ):
Hm... Okay, I downloaded PSP Video 9, and sucessfully connected my PSP and everything. Now what I see is a pop-up folder that I'm guessing is my PSP folder, and it has a "MB_ROOT" folder, a "VIDEO" and a "PSP" folder in it. I tried putting the video into the VIDEO folder but that didn't work. Where do I put it?
And... isn't there any way to save my videos on the MEMORY STICK rather then the PSP itself? I have a feeling this Psp Video 9 is going to save my files right onto my PSP; however, I just spent 60 bucks on a 4G memory stick, and I really don't want to waste it. :/
It won't? Oh okay, good to know. I guess I'll just look at PSP Video 9's forums for help on using it, as I'm still having trouble. Thanks for the help.
