First be sure that you have the latest firmware available for your drive.
Second, try using ImgBurn instead, to burn your disk. If this doesn't help please post back with a burn log so we can take a look at it for you.

Were you trying to convert mp3 files to regular cd-audio to play in a normal cd player? Was it just a data disc with a bunch of backed up mp3s?

Have been storing mp3 files directly from internet to harddrive, but takes up too much space. So want to move all mp3 files to DVD for storage and to also to be able to replay them later on computer DVD drive.

Latest burner firmware installed. Is Imgburn better burning software than Nero or Sonic? Will post burn log if problem persists. Thanks much.

I like ImgBurn its free, easy, and yields very good results. I know that people are having various problems with Nero V8 but I have never used so I can't speak first hand on it or Sonic.

Personally, i refrain from Sonic (unless we're talking Drive-In hamburgers) and am not too fond of Nero.

I support Imgburn.

I prefer ImgBurn also, though technically for a data disc you dont need an extra program beacause you can just drag a file onto your drive and use Windows to burn it. I still prefer ImgBurn though, windows doesnt give you a calculator to help figure out space remaining on a disc.
