According to the newly released MusicWatch consumer survey, commissioned by the NPD Group, Apple's iTunes platform is once again leading music retailers in the United States, at least for the first 6 months of 2008. The report is based on individual digital music downloads and physical CD purchases. Duh........Of course. This is to be expected. They started first and will end first. Don't know why anyone would have gone the route of DRM'ed, dumbed down music but they did and it is what it is. Give us some NEW news and tell us something the average joe didn't know.

My question is how Wal Mart remains in the top 5.

As i recall much of their music is edited for content, someone correct me if i'm wrong.
