Hi all,

Finally got round to replacing the X clamp in my 360 to get rid of the 3RROD after the penny trick failed on me. Got through the procedure no problem, but when I was tightening the bolts I scraped the motherboard a couple of times and knocked a tiny capacitor (or circuit piece - C520 or somthing????) loose.

The scratches didn't worry me so much but I don't know about this loose piece. I'm getting the green light so far, but could any problems lurk ahead???

we've seen ths before, im not sure if the guy fixed it or not. its there for a reason, but i wouldnt loose sleep over it, just get it fixed asap.

jk ... did the same thing about 2 months back ... popped off a ceramic capacitor and cant find it locally ... box has been runnin smooth since the incident though ...

i actually forgot all about it until i seen ur thread ...

lol yea this is the same thread i was thinking of when he asked this question, i didnt look at the old thread, but i remember a discussion about a capacitor and a resistor.
