I have SM 3.6 and for the most part, enjoy it. I have about 20 games or so that i've got to work on it, but in the last few weeks I've had a few problems.
I have copied guitar hero 1, 2, 3, and aerosmith. I used dvd decrypter to copy the .iso and then burn on to taiyo yuden dvds at 1x. It is the same way i've burned everythign else but for some reason only versions 1 and 3 worked. I have re copied and re burned the 2nd and aerosmith with the same results. Is there any reason those two versions would not work? I was thinking it had to do with the size of the games because when I swap the disks out the laser moves a bit and then sticks on the outer part of the disk and will not move from there. Again, this only happens with version 2 and with aerosmith. Please let me know how to get around this as I love my guitar hero :)

I just tried ripping the image again and burning it with a new TDK disk. I got the same result. The disk spins up, the laser moves around a bit and then gets stuck on the outer edge of the disk and will not move past that. I did notice that the GH 2 and GH-aerosmith were the two largest images (around 4.3gigs) and GH 1 was around 2gigs and GH 3 was about 4 gigs. Is it possible that for some reason disks over a certain size will not play with swap magic? If that is the case, is there a way to shrink the images just a bit to get them down to 4 gigs or wherever the cutoff limit is? (like dvdshrink for dvds)

It's possible you need a larget TOC disc.
Which original PS2 game are you booting with?
Try using Devil May Cry.
