cyclowiz problem, help & advice need re new chip

Hi, i have a cyclowiz chip installed working great until super mario galaxy, mario & ssbb, reason the new protection. My mate installed it prior to these titles & works great but did not install the switch so cannot upgrade. He has tried to install the switch but on one of the wires he has removed the solder & printed bit on the board, so there is nothing to solder the wire to, therefore cannot upgrade chip.

The chip still works fine. My question is can i add a new chip i/e the d2pro with the wii clip in addition to the cyclowiz chip or can i just remove it & replace it with the new d2pro chip??
