Okay i been reading all these topics.. about how people.. say " oh i just got my copy of Harold and kumar.. it burns works great"
Yea right.. i be you are getting movies with net flix and just burning them??

IF a track is lent to me thats not illegal violation..
I mean come on!! Im not gonna buy the whole cd or the movie.. when one part of the movie is good.. or only 1 song is good..

Nope, every movie I have is purchased. I am actually having a friend of mine store the originals in his storage shed, as I'm running out of space for them.
Besides, as the members of aD are from different countries, there are different legality issues for the different countries. We just deal with the tecnical aspect. For the legal aspect, you would have to go elsewhere, such as EFF.

I buy nothing, but talk about the pot calling the kettle... how much of that software on your desktop have you paid for? Your windows key is a well known keygenned generic one. (not clever having a desktop that is so obvious.. ever heard of limewire backdoors? .. thanks)
All my software is 100% legal, as is my OS .. I just don't pay for music and films because honestly there is nothing new that is worth having.
Beware.. some of us have ethics which may seem a little strange at first sight. I don't care where somebody gets something from.. but why should I them put myself into the stealing loop by helping their lazyness and ignorance by spoonfeeding them answers which are easily available from a quick search? It doesn't help them learn anything.. I could teach a monkey to convert and burn, but he isn't going to understand why he needs to do it. Just giving guides and answers doesn't teach.. it gives answers, and anybody except a total retard can look at pictures and press the same buttons.
Remember school? those workings out that didn't have the answer provided?.. what were those for?

Sure, but only if it is the original track and not a copy (i.e. The lender gives you his original copy and does not keep a copy. Otherwise it is illegal.)

You could just buy the track on the CD that is good via I-Tunes, Zune, or another similar program. That's what I do.
If only one part of a movie is good, then it's not worth watching anyway.
BTW -- I'm a poor college kid who legally owns his software and games. The main reason I don't like pirating is because I can empathize with the sellers of the product.
At my high school, I was in a video productions class. Part of that class was creating the video yearbook. At the end of the year, only a couple of people bought it, but nearly everyone had a copy. The few who bought it just copied it for their friends, discouraging those of us who were expecting some reimbursement for our hard work.
I guess my entire point here is that, if something is worth owning, then it is worth buying.
