Burning VOB file caused bluescreen

I've never done a VOB file before but I clicked on make a DVD then add video file. I think it said it was assessing (a very slow process, about 5 minutes) then it asked me if I would allow Nero to put it in a folder on my hard drive. I said yes and it continued to do so (slowly) then I got a blue screen saying
Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error. I then checked the folder and about half the film is there converted to little movie clips I can play. I've never had a blue screen before. Did I do a wrong thing and what should I do now, try again?

The file is size 3,500,500 KB for a 3GB film. I have 8 GB free on my computer and 500 ram.

Nero came with my comp version 6.3.1.20
