i downloaded a game but it had the weirdest files ive seen .r01 ive seen .001 but ive never seen them combine for example : r01.001 r01.002 and so on every.007 it changes to become r02.001 etc..... need help on how to extract this

well i read everthing that was written......and i realized i know all of that but what im asking is that if i have a combined file that looks like this lsw2.r01.001 / lstw2.r01.002..................lsw2.r08.001
how do i extract it???

the files are part of a compressed rar file. to view it has to be uncompressed. you need winrar or winzip installed.

once installed, if you go to the rar files that you have downloaded,
in 'type' the files will be listed as 'r00 file' and so on in increments to the 'r' file.

one of the files will be marked rar file' and will have an icon like a pile of books. this is the automatic merger file. if you double click on this file, you launch the merger and can select where you want the merged files to be created.

it will then unzip your file.

in type its listed as 001 could i just add the extension myself on the winrar then try to extract

convert the first rar file as an iso and then burn that JUST the first rar file onto a dvd-r. you should be set to go.
