nero 8 ultra, problem creating dvd

I am using Nero 8 Ultra Edition, when I open up Nero vision 5 and try to add video files to make a dvd, the project window just disappears, and I'm back to the Nero start smart window. Any suggestions or help would be greatly welcome.

I would run a Nero 8 CleanTool:
http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero8-tools-utilities.html

and re-install a fresh copy

Thanks nasayin, I tried what you suggested and still the same results.
I have reloaded Nero 8 three times and the same thing happens it's frustrating because I havent a clue as to why it's happening.

I'm not sure what else there is to do. Maybe you can get another copy of Nero 8 or downgrade and use Nero 7.

I think that happens with files that you don't have the right codecs for.

For some reason axxo files make my nerovision shut down when trying to add them. Maybe its just ac3 files. However, I feel I can single out the specific files.

Maybe you can single out yours.
Now if it is every single file....idk
