I keep getting message "cyclic redundancy check" during analyzing.

This ( usually) means that shrink cannot crack the encryption on the disc.
What movie are you trying to back up ?

What movie? DVD Shrink is no longer updated to handle new copy protection. Try ripping with DVDFab Decrypter, it is free and kept up to date. http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
Or you could also try the free trial of AnyDVD http://www.slysoft.com/en/

cyclic redundancy check typically means one of two thinhgs;

1. see iluvendo's initial response.

2. A dirty or scratched disc.

In this case, you need to utilize an updated ripper.
