I am new at this so please bear with me. I have read numerous posts here and have not found any info on this problem.

I have a VIDEO_TS file of a movie that I ripped with DVDBackup 1.3. I went into the VIDEO_TS file and removed the "Full Screen" version of the film and kept the "Wide Screen" version. This was in order to get it under the 4.7 GB limit. I used a program called DVDxDVPro to view the VOB files that I needed to keep.

I ran the Apple DVD player and chose "Open VIDEO_TS Folder" and the selected the appropriate folder and pressed "Play". The movie plays properly going through the previews and all the way up to the menu. At the "Movie Menu" I selected the "Widescreen" version and hit "Play" and the movie plays just fine.

I have Toast 6.0 and have selected "Data" and "DVD-ROM (UDF) and selected "New Disc". "My Disc" pops up in the window and I select "Add" and I find the appropriate VIDEO_TS folder and select it. It shows up in the window as well under "My Disc". I rename "My Disc" with the name of the movie and hit record. The size of the file to burn is 4.2 GB.

At this point I keep getting an error message - "Could not record the disc because there was not enough memory". Result Code = -108. I cannot get past this point!!! I have tried a variety of other things. If I select Mac & PC instead of DVD-ROM (UDF), the DVD burns fine and will play with the Mac DVD player if I select the VIDEO_TS folder and hit play but it obviously does not launch automatically and of course will not play in a commercial DVD player at all. I have tried reducing the size of VIDEO_TS folder all the way down to 300 MB and I keep getting the same out of memory error message.

If I remove the VIDEO_TS.BUP and the VIDEO_TS.IFO file from the VIDEO_TS folder, which are like 40 KB in size, then Toast will burn the DVD but it obviously will not work afterwards.

Do I need to Rip and Burn the DVD with both versions of the movie to keep from getting this "out of memory error"??

I just figured I'd never watch the "Full screen" version so I was attempting to edit it out and as long as I don't select it in the Movie Menu screen using the Apple DVD player, the rest of the movie plays perfect but only after I select it in the "VIDEO_TS Folder" menu.

Thanks for any help!! I am going to try to rip and burn the DVD as described in this forum with both versions and see if that works but was also curious why I was getting this weird error message.

I have a G5 Dual 2 GHz with 512 Meg Ram, 160 GB Hard drive with 80 GB of available space. OS X 10.3.2.
