Hello I have an old 360 witch died with 3rrod. I can't send it back to MS as I case moded it. I have read up about the X clamp and think I can do it. I have seen loads of xclamp repair kits on ebay but don't know witch one to go for. If anyone has bought a kit of ebay and worked properly please tell me who you bought it from. One more thing do I need to buy a new X clamp you know them metal X things in the 360 or do I just use the ones all ready in it?

not tryin to be a dick but if ur asking if u should use the old xclamps (or even new ones) to fix ur RROD then u havent done to much research at all on the xclamp fix ...

after u do the fix - watch "Part 2" to see how to reflow the solder (baking trick) - which is extremely important for a successful fix

i got all my materials from my local hardware store for under $3 (got the arctic silver from eBay)

BTW: the xClamps are throw aways - i dinged my motheroard tryin to ease them off when i could have simply just ripped them off ... luckily i didnt hurt nothing - but the xClamps will be replaced by nuts, screws and washers ...
