Hey guys. Can you recommend a compatible sound system with the xbox 360.

It needs to be able to plug directly into the back of the 360 as, for some reason, my Tv refuses to output sound when using a vga cable (which i need to use as there is no component port).

I am personally a fan of Logitech systems. They sound good for the money. But anything that has RCA inputs will work.

It has a Y-cable (they call it a game console adapter) that allows you to hook your Red/White RCA cables to the system. And with the matrix mode it turns that stereo into a simulated 5.1 surround sound.

I have a set just like these (just an older version) on my PC and they sound pretty damn good for being under $100. If you do not care about the box they also have this set as OEM and you save about $20

No problem. I think you will really like them. they are a great set of speakers for people who are on a budget and do not have a higher end surround sound system to hook into.
Or as i mentioned people like me who have a PC with a good sound card (by good i mean a sound card that has HD Audio and separate inputs for center/sub, front, and rear speakers)

Does the gamer adapter have optical input becasue thats whats needed to plug in into vga

The official VGA cable has the VGA part and serarate red/white RCA cables for audio.
