Hitachi today announced the international release of its latest Blu-ray camcorder, dubbed the BD10HA, the North American equivalent of the camcorder Japan has had for months.

Compared to other HD cams, seems that bluray is the only good thing this has going for it, if indeed one has a bluray player. An internal HDD is a turnoff to me. Especially when most are incorporating flash technology.

I would agree wholeheartedly; but for that [that] the SDHC cards have a long way to go if they would be able to hold 60 or 80 gigs of video. Hopefully one day they will, maybe the technology is here now, who knows, but the roll out will be super slow, as usual, to enable the manufacturers to maximize their profits.
