Hello,

I am lost, i have been able to use media server (TVersity) for photos, music, most video, except divx. I still have the Divx player installed, with AVI mega codec, and FFdshow. I have some divx movies, that I bought and DL. I try to stream them but I get a message from my PS3 that the file will not play since I have not properly registerd this device (PS3). So i went the the divx player, and selected new device to register, but you need an 8 character code. I cant find that anywhere on the PS3 or in any of the manuals. So is used the only 8 digit code I could find, it went through the process of creating the video you are supposed to burn or save to disk and play on the device to register it so you can stream video to it. But, when i attempt to play the video i get the same error message. Any suggestions please????!

No idea what's going on there!

Try downloading the Combined Community Codec Pack, it has all the codecs you'll (well the anime watching community really) will ever need! Link: http://www.cccp-project.net/

I also use Media Player Classic which comes with CCCP, you have the option to also install Zoom Player but I would uncheck this in the list as I myself think MPC is better. If you dont like MPC then try VLC which people also use.
