i have tried many time to connect my psp with my pc,
My computer does know that it is connected as my computer shows this:


but after that this comes up:


i have no idea why this comes up but when i press 'next' is show a loading screen, then this comes up


after i 'stop installation', i cannot find my psp device on my computer anywhere, why does this happen and how can i solve this problem please help as i wish to get movies on my psp and music.
thank you if u can give my your advice and wisdom on this matter :):)

i dont really wanna really impair or destabilize my system, i was hoping for another way around this problem :):) thank you anyway :):) most thankful.

you could try this in another xp pc or try another cable there is no drives needed to connect the psp to an xp system, it should connect straight away without any problems.

Continue anyway, it will not damage your system. there is a reason it does that it add's a another logical hard drive device to your pc.

Simply put its telling you that a new drive has been found and it needs to install the external overlay to allow access to this new external drive(your PSP).

i have gone through the same thing when i first hooked mine up.

if your trying this on a company or school computer forget about it, it wont work as they don't allow system modification a new Drive is a major modification there for the system will not allow it.

Just hit continue.

That same thing comes up when I install my Soundblaster X-Fi... and thats with original Creative drivers!
