Please help. I've sat on the phone with xbox support for hours and I'm clueless. My console is acting like the PC isn't recognizing it, but under my media sharing tab in the library of my media player the 360 console is visible and "allowed" to share. I can get on live just fine through this connection and have never had any problems.Okay, here's my setup Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista Home Premium, comcast modem, D-link DGL-4100 router, and 360 elite. I can get media center to work but I don't want that because you can't play songs while you game. When I go to my the media blade of my xbox and select music it says "can't connect. make sure this console is activated on your pc". It might be a problem with my router I'm told, but I don't know much about configuring, please help. I need my music on my xbox, aghhhh!!
Have you tried any of the programs designed to do this like Orb or TVersity? I know they will do ovies and music. Plus they are free.
Now i don't know if they play music while you game as that is not something i do but you can give them a try.
Not really, the problem is I can't get my PC logo to stop popping up on my Xbox, so when I installed Tversity it never could show because my old PC logo was still in the way. The 4th line down on the select your music source screen on the xbox. It has to be a router option that is causing this confusion, but where and how do I start? Like I said I can get on the Internet just fine using this same connection without switching any cords. This is quite strange. When I do a media connection test on my xbox it says connected, everything says connected under the system's blade. It only says can't connect under the media blade when I select the option to play music.
