Super Mario Galaxy makes me really want a wii. Some modchip qs?

1. What's the best modchip on the market?

2. What's a good place to buy the chip from?

3. Would you say I mod it myself or buy a pre-modded wii (I don't have a wii)

The best modchip will be the one you actually need. Some do serial port programming, but I'll assume you're just an average user and want to play backups etc.

If you're going to buy a new wii, it's almost certainly going to be a D2C or D2C2 chipset, so you'll need a chip to correspond to that.
(Simply google for D2C Wii mod)

Additionally, if you don't want to solder 20+ wires onto your wii and risk killing it, I'd suggest you get the chip presoldered with a wiiclip, which really just clips onto the wii's mobo chip in like 5 seconds.

If you're scared to even open your wii, then buy a premodded one. But it will probably cost you at least 50 more $$$ overall to go with a premodded wii.
