Installed Nero, now Video files have no thumbnails; option to

I installed Nero 7.5.9.0 and all video files now have no thumbnails. Also, when right-clicking on a video file, the option to "refresh thumbnail" has disappeared. However, picture files have not been effected: they still have thumbnails, and the option to "refresh thumbnail" is still there. I then uninstalled nero, rebooted, and still the same problem. So I re-installed it and searched the web for a fix, finding nothing. I've tried other things too, like messing with the "Do not cache thumbnails" in windows explorer, deleting the thumbs.db file from a video folder, etc. etc. Nothing works. Running Windows XP Home... Thanks in advance for any info and help!
