Hi im trying to convert mp3 audio to AC3 on my video files so i can watch them as currently the box I have does not recognize mp3 audio. IS there a way to convert the files to AC3 so i can hear the video??

Load the AVI in 'Avidemux'.
On the left side of the window, click 'Audio' - from the dropdown menu, select 'AC3'.
On the top menu click the 'Save' icon.
Give the new file a full name including extension, E.G. newfile.avi
