My son made toast out of my Lord Of the Rings DVD when he took it to a friends house. As a result I decided to start backing up my DVD's.
I have DVD Copy express, Platinum and I can't get them to work.
I'm trying to back up American Wedding and get the messge that the disk is unreadable. I've tried DVDcrypter. I'm helpless here..
I have a Liteon DVD 4 X Burner and trying to use TDK media,

My first attempt at this...
Please give me some Ideas of what I'm doing wrong

If you could supply us with as many details as you can concerning why exactly your software isn't working, specific errors encountered, system info and such we can help you much better :)

Is your American Wedding disc scratched up as well? DVDs are much less tolerant of scratches than CDs and can become very hard to copy when they are scratched up.

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.

Where to begin...
I've tried using DVD Copy Xpress & Platinumn.
I get the error message the disc is unreadable.
Same thing when I try using Nero 6.0 and NTI.
I tried DVD Decrypter and it came back with the same error about halfway through.
I've checked the disc and there doesn't apprear to be any scratches, and I've cleaned it also.
I'm new to trying this (Can you tell)
I have Clone DVD but it wont recognize my DVD Burner.

I have a Lite-On DVDRW LDW-411S.
I'm running WinXP Pro on a 1800 + AMD box with 1 GB Ram and 2 80GB HD's
So I don't think it's it the equipment...

Help !!!

moustache,

Hhhuuummm, where to begin ?

Xpress is pretty much automatic, I'll first suggest that you start playing your DVD on your PC and then open Xpress, it should be able to find it then -

Second, let's make sure we're using top-of-the-heap, Name Brand media. Ritek or Verbatim are good -

Using cheap media isn't cheap (unless you have a shortage of coasters) then it will save you for shopping for coasters on ebay. Sometimes those coasters are hard to come by -

Give that a shot and if we still have problems, come back and we'll start you off from the beginning :-)

If you need more help, we'll need to know what you ment when you said,

As you can see, your statement provides us with zero information -
