I have reviewed a few forums on this site about burning wii games on my new mac, and although they were all promising, none have seemed to work.
I am hoping that someone out there can help me, here is what I have
Brand new wii, with Mod Chip installed and functioning with burned wii games (from friend)
I have downloaded three different wii games, and have the .iso's
I have been burning with Liquid CD on 4X burn rate
I have tried DVD-R and DVD+R I have a brand new MacBook.
I have tried using Popcorn and Toast and neither will let me burn .iso
I have a pile of ruined DVDs lol..

Lol, thats what I thought, but the guides I have found have basically told me to burn the .iso onto a DVD and everytime I do, it doesn't work, I know it sounds like my mod chip is fucked but other burned games work fine so it doesnt make sense.
I haven't tried burning a backup game on my mac yet, but I did burn my wiikey update disc ISO using the Disk Utility in the Applications folder. Toast and Popcorn didn't work, but Disk Utility did.
Burning it on a Mac might be possible, but you cannot burn them on a laptop. You need to be able to set the booktype to dvd rom for dvd+r media. This cannot be done on any laptops currently.
Here are the instructions on how to successfully burn a Wiiimage on a Intel Macbook Pro running OSX 10.4.11.
1. Open Disc Utility
2. Select "Burn" from the top menu
3. Select your WiiISO 4. Click the down arror to select the following burn options:
4.1 Write speed 1x
4.2 Uncheck "Verify burned data"
If you follow these instructions, and you have the following:
- a functioning Wii and modchip - a legit, non-corrupt ISO image
- a correctly functioning Mac
and you use quality DVD media (I used a Ritek G05), then you should have no problems running the backup copy of the game that you already own.
