just got a dvd recorder, just a few questions

1, I have some dvdr and some rw, if I tape about 5 mins on a r can I tape on the rest of the dvd another time?

2, On r & rw is there a maxium number of tracks you can have, or in theory can you have 100's (say you had about 200 clips with songs on you didn't know and wanted to upload them on youtube) could it be done?

3, I have heard if you keep recording on dvd rw after a few recordings the quality starts to go, is this true?

1.) It has been a while, but I believe (if I remember correctly) that once you stop burning on a dvd+r/-r that's it. You would have to set the dvdrw as multisession to record more.

2.) I have only burned music onto dvd's as 'data' files. Was easier for me to go to them later.

3.) Yeah, if you keep recording and erasing on dvdrw's they do start to degrade, and after a time they get corrupted and don't work anymore.
