Firefox / AOL unable to connect to internet....

This strange problem started last night out of nowhere and i've been unable to find a solution. I use Road Runner. I checked the physical connections and there fine. The modem detects the PC and vice-versa (atleast in the beginning it did). Basically nothing finishes loading up, giving me only a small percentage of a page or none at all. AOL won't open at all. I've tried system restore incase something changed that I wasn't aware of but I can't find anything wrong. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
