Hi
I have just bought a Philips DVP3252 DVD player.
I acknowledge it's not the best DVD in the world but it has Progressive Scan capabilities hence the purchase.
So I hook it up to my Toshiba REGZA 42C3500 which has FULL HD capability via Component connection back of DVD player direct to TV.
My TV acknowledges that the cable is Component (1C states the connection screen). However when I attempt to get the DVD player to go to Progressive mode (via the DVD menu option) it tries and fails going back to regular picture.
I guess my question is: Is my TV capable of accepting Progessive Scan?
I thought it was and I have an XBox360 and a PS3 hooked up to it which it takes in its stride.
Anyone got any thoughts on this as its doing my head in.
Regards
Frazer
