I have cable TV an a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4200 box.

Was working fine, but lately with the box always powered on, after lets say 12 hours of not using, I turn on my TV and there is NO sound, video is fine.

At that point if I EITHER turn the power the box on/off the sound comes back on OR if I, using the remote, change the channel -- then the sound comes on, and naturally if I channel back to the previous channel the sound will be ok also.

What could possibly be causing this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
