i got this psp off ebay nice white one in perfect condition apart from the obvious fact that its bricked. so made myself a pandora battery and magic memory stick, which when used with my other psp work fine but with this other one it does nothing, the wifi light does come on but does not flash and nothing comes on the screen, after 10 seconds all the lights go out. when trying to boot the psp normaly the green light comes on for about 10 seconds then off again and nothing on the screen at all. it wont bood in the repair mode either, some help from those who know would be appreciated, by the way its a old phat psp.
Sounds like you have a "super brick"
I had a guy bring a phat psp to me doing what you said yours is doing.
I've read in the past on here if Pandora or DC doesn't work then it's a super brick where the contents of the flash were deleted.
What those posts suggested to do was to use a NAND dump from another phat psp and use it to get the super brick up and going. Then use a program called upnandtool to edit it so that everything would work the way it was supposed to.
The guy sold the psp before I could work on it so I'm not sure if this would have fixed it or not.
Either way you should be searching for super brick and maybe you can find some useful help.
ok had a look at that but couldnt work out wether he wanted the tool to run while it was in the broke psp or a working one, and wasnt risking it when hes talking about dumping flashes and everything lol
1) you need a nand dump from a working fat psp. You would get that by sticking your pandora battery and magic memory stick or despertar into a functioning fat psp and choose the "dump nand option"
2) you would then take the memory stick and pandora battery and restore the nand in the bricked one.
3) From there you should be able to flash the psp like normal except that it will only be able to run homebrew and not umd's
4) Then you have to go and edit like it says to try and get all of the original functions restored.
I think my friend did the same thing and I know what your talking about. I tried the Nand and Pandora on the brick, and same deal, turns off in 10 secs....
mine is a fat TA-082.
