System files corrupted for homebrew instal

I am attempting to instal the homebrew channel on my Wiikey machine. I burned the homebrew beta 8 iso and booted my Wii with it. I got to the channels screen and the 2 disc icons were spinning in the disc channel. It was taking a while but with hindsight this was probably correct, anyway suspecting an error I cancelled it.
Now when I use the disc to boot I get "system files are corrupted" but my games boot and play ok.
How do I go about installing the homebrew channel now?

You have 3.3 right? that's why your getting those file corrupted errors.
Use the twilight hack beta to install the homebrew channel.

Yes I do have 3.3. I thought that the TP hack was only needed to install the homebrew channel on an unmodified Wii whereas I have the Wiikey, have I got this wrong?

Well Yes and No. You see the HBC Iso works for those wiis with modchips. After all, modchips allow our wiis to read these types of modified DVDs.
If you had 3.2 firmware or below, all you had to was pop it in. However nintendo's 3.3 update added protect to these types of ISO's.
So for people with 3.3 firmware, you will need to use the Twilight Hack Beta(the alpha version was blocked with the 3.3 update) to install the homebrew channel.

Great advice guys thanks. Used Twilight Princess to add Homebrew channel then Gecko OS and now Mario Kart runs perfectly.
