When I turn my wii on, the screen stays black. It doesn't even go to the health and safety screen. I think it may have something to do with me having removed the faceplate(although the faceplate is on it and the two little wires ARE plugged in). If anyone has any info, please help!!! -Issachar3 (thanx)
Well anyway, when you press the power button, does the light turn from red (or yellow) to green as if the console is powered up?
If not, you f'd the wiring or something. Just figure out what's not working right with the button and connector. Make sure you didn't put the plug in backwards either.
If it turns green, press A a few times, and if you hear sound, check your video connection.
If no sound, then you've successfully bricked your Wii!!!
(Or at least painted it with a nice brick color).
I've never heard of someone bricking their wii in such a superficial manner though, so I doubt this is the case unless you actually damaged the wii electronically.
I was going to take a plate(side) of the wii off so I could custom paint my wii a different color. Also, the green button DOES turn on. I'm about 95% sure I didn't damage any internal wiring. Any suggestions about un-bricking it (if it is) or alternative solutions better than sending it in to Nintendo for very costly costly repair ($73). -Issachar3 (thanx)
