Xbox power led to work with pc motherboard?!?

Hi, I'm trying to install a mini PC into an xbox. I was able to select the correct wires to be able to use the power (eject on xbox) button and the reset (power on xbox) button to work (tested with my pc) but I just can't figure out how to get either of the LED's to work. I know that there are two lights per LED and there are three prongs per LED. what I did for the power and reset was cut the yellow wires from the xbox board and attach them to cut off jumper cables from an old pc case that I had. Then I just plugged those jumpers onto the motherboard and it worked. I can't figure out which cables to use for the LED's to attach to the jumper cables. Please help me, this is killing me!

the picture is self explanitory

the leds i use are rated 3.2-3.6v so the voltage would robably be in that range. Just use a resistor to bring the 5v (hdd power) down to 3.2v and you'll be set.

wow, thanks for the detailed pictures. I'm a bit of a noob at this though. I understand how the power and eject work (I have those wired up with the snipped off jumper cables that I have and it works off of a motherboard pin header), however, can I do the same thing with the LED's? can I wire it up so that both greens turn on if I have the two green wires and a gound wire connected to a jumper and plug that into the motherboard jumper? so far I've tried to twist the two green ones together (5+8) and used the "NC" for the "ground" connection. What the heck is "NC" anyway? Is that why my led won't work, should I tap into the "GROUND" wire from the power or eject switch instead?

Well just do like i said, you're trying to find a voltage of 3.2 and a ground. If i were you i'd tap one of the 5v wires from the power supply and a ground and run it all the way around to the front of the case. Throw the right resistor in there and you'll be set. That's only going to allow it to light up green though, yellow is both the red and the green lit up, and red is the other wire. You probably have connections on the board to use so check those out as well.

If i were you i'd look around for the board specs and see exactly what points you can use.

might anybody have any other ideas on how to get the RED led working with a PC motherboard (connect the yellow wires to the jumpers on a PC motherboard)
