Help! Still getting DRE after completing the following recommended procedures...

I am using a Viper GC with GCOS 1.5 on a gamecube rev A mobo, with a brand new laser unit taken from a platinum Rev C mobo. I have tried Ritek G04 and Verbatim mini dvd-r discs burnt at 1x using a brand new pioneer dvd-rw dvr-215d 1.13 sata dvd drive. The POT is set at 150. But I still often receive this message...

"An error has occured. Press the POWER button to turn your system OFF, and refer to you Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for details."

Note that on the gamecube's orignal laser unit it would not boot the game at all. I have actually gotten far into the first dungeon of Twilight Princess using the mentioned items and procedures. But now I am stuck at the very end because I recieve this message at one area every time. Desperately needing to resolve this.
