Hi,

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm able to burn Cheap no-name brand DVD-R's perfectly, however when I use a good quality 4x DVD+R such as Maxell or TDK, it always gives my an error, anywhere between 1/4-3/4 of the way through the burning process. I'm sure it's not the DVD's, probaly something I need to set up?

LG DVD multi drive is probably not compatible with DVD +R

To confirm - please provide the model number of the drive. Look at the front of the box. It can read +r format but not write it.

LG make -R write drives. -R are cheaper.

If the reason you are writing +r is fot T/A or multi session DVD format, then you should simply upgrade you firmware to a newer one. No it won't let you write +R.

Thanks for replying.
The model is GSA-4040B. The box states that it does write 4x DVD+R & DVD-R's. Haven't had a chance but I think I may go back to the dealer I bought it from
