^^That's a PS2 controller.

To the OP: You could, but you wouldn't want to. The effort needed is incredible, you need to be VERY, VERY precise with a soldering iron. Not every person can do this, it takes years of skill and practice.

It was just an example, the ps3 would have been similar, with the exception of the connections being different, but either way both requiring what you stated already.

Not really, this must be hooked up to his home PC, then the IRShell USBHostFS function must be downloading the control from the PC. This looks easier, because it looks software-related.

I have seen the acid mod one. but the video i posted. they have the controler plugged into the USB port on the psp.

could i wire up a controller with the same male prong on the end. and instantly controle my game, is what im asking ..(i know the answer isnt yes, just asking if anyone knows software id have to play around with for button setups on the controller)

or something along the linses of that..im not wanting to rip my psp apart to install a jigged up controller port(though i admit it would be cool)
