i recently discovered that i have the apex 600a dvd player with the loophole menu still intact. i used this menu to disable macrovision, and tried to do a test run of a dvd to vhs direct recording. i have the video out from my dvd to the video in of my vhs, the video out from the vhs to the video in of my tv. same with the two audio channels. howwever, when i try toplay the dvd i get nothing from the screen (the dvd is playing and the correct channel and video source is selected at the tv)so, i take the vhs out of the loop and run vid directly to tv to test, and, sure enuf, picture. it loses something in the trip thru the vhs. can i even run dvd thru a vhs? or, do i need to go dvd vid out, tv in, tv out, vhs in?? i havent tried that yet, just thought of it now :-) my specs are dvd=apex600a, vhs=zenith 4 head hi-fi, tv=55" theater wide toshiba. i did try to do this once, and was able to capture dvd video and sound on vhs, but that was before i realized i had the loophole menu to disable macro, so obviously, i got nothing but scrambled eggs, now, i want to recreate the wiring diagram, but my old brain wont give up the data >;-/ any help would be as always, greatly appreciated.

uhm, never mind, the neophyte is at it agian, i didnt tell my vhs where to look for the signal from the dvd i.e: tv;cable;aux. so uh, never mind :-)
